Keeping a steady hand and using a small sharp knife, make an incision about a third down, all around the circumference (as above)
Lift off the cap. The entire top part of the fruit will come undone. Be gentle.
The open fruit will now indicate where to cut. You have to follow the thin, then thick yellow parts as in the next photo.
Follow the lines. Cut from top to the centre at the bottom. Don't cut through..just enough to perforate the skin and not burst the fruit.
Keep cutting all round……
Gently start opening the segments. Pull apart without squeezing. The fruit should now open very easily.
The pomegranate will look like a beautiful red star….Then remove the yellow skin.
You can also pull the segments off the skin….
And serve them like this. Simply BEAUTIFUL…
